About Me
Growing up, I wanted nothing more than to become an astronaut. I loved spending my summers at Space Camp and reading all the library books I could find about physics, rockets, and space flight.
I majored in physics at Johns Hopkins University, then stayed on for a 5th year to earn a master's degree in teaching, specializing in curriculum development.
I taught high school physics for almost ten years, designing several elective courses along the way.
I recently completed a second master's degree from Hopkins, this time in science writing. With it, I hope to merge my love of physics with my passion for helping people understand it.

When I'm not writing, you can find me knitting funky sweaters, running outdoors, reading books, or attempting to create sugar work confections such as homemade marshmallows, caramels, and (hopefully) pulled sugar candies.
